The Team
Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.
What you’ll be doing
The Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) will report directly to the project manager and play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication between Japanese clients and the development team. This role will be responsible for gathering and managing project requirements, facilitating meetings, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting internal communication to drive project success.
• Manage requirements: Gather and clarify client requirements, track updates, and ensure the team has clear, accessible documentation.
• Facilitate Meetings: Organize and lead client–team meetings, align on key points, and share meeting summaries.
• Quality Assurance: Review deliverables to ensure they meet the client’s requirements and standards, conduct verification and provide feedback to the development team.
• Internal Communication and Support: Provide real-time clarifications, stay aligned through team meetings, bridge cultural differences or communication gaps to strengthen client collaboration.
What you’ll bring
• B.S., M.S. or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant major.
• Have at least 3 years of working experience as a BrSE or an equivalent position required.
• Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or JLPT N1 is required.
• Have knowledge about Software Development Process, Object Orient Programming, etc.
• Good Japanese communication & documentation
