I believed in the idea of a consulting firm in Portugal working directly with Portuguese organizations and knew I’d be working with a great team
My Hitachi Journey
I started my career with Hitachi back in 2006 when Hitachi was opening its EMEA practice with three offices across London, Madrid, and Lisbon. It was an exciting time to join the team. In fact, I was only the fifth employee in the region. The new practice was being led by Margarida Marques, whom I had worked with previously at Deloitte. I believed in the idea of a consulting firm in Portugal working directly with Portuguese organizations and knew I’d be working with a great team.
After 6 great years with Hitachi, I moved to Copenhagen with my family. The time away gave me the chance to continue to grow my skillsets as well as work with different cultures. Then in 2018, I had the opportunity to return to Portugal and my role at Hitachi. I knew the business had gone through lots of change; the Portugal office had transformed into a delivery center with clients all over Europe. The client portfolio was much broader, and we worked with Hitachi colleagues from all over the world. It’s now been 15 years since I first joined. I currently manage a team of 60 employees across the globe, I am involved in over 11 projects and proud of the long-lasting relationships we build with our clients.
Despite the change we’ve gone through, it’s inspiring to continue to work with some of our original Portuguese clients and Hitachi team members, like Margarida Marques and João Martins, who have been with this team since the beginning.
