The Role: Sr Automation OT Engineer
We are looking for a senior-level engineer who wants to be challenged to come up with innovative solutions and lead the solutions allowing our customers to be freed up to focus on what they do best. As a consultant, you will work with a variety of technologies depending on what the client’s needs are. Here are some of the technologies and responsibilities that you may encounter
: Responsibilities:
• Develop & deploying a custom-built software application that will help the company to meet Industry 4.0 standards.
• As Operational Technology Engineer, advising manufacturing customer on Industry 4.0 modernization efforts for a large manufacturing company.
• Assess current manufacturing operational technology systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, and production to design, deploy, and maintain operational technology systems.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to manufacturing operational technology systems.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to manufacturing operations and recommend innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness.
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate manufacturing personnel on the use and maintenance of operational technology systems.
Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
 10 + years of experience in manufacturing operations with a focus on operational technology systems.
 In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation systems, SCADA, PLCs, MES, and other operational technology solutions.
 Proven skills Rockwell ControlLogix/ CompactLogix/ MicroLogix, Ignition SCADA/ FactoryTalk View/ Viewpoint HMI, Ladder Logic.
 Program and install PLCs including Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and MicroLogix.
 Program and install HMIs / SCADA systems including Allen-Bradley PanelView ME / SE, Wonderware InTouch, and Wonderware ArchestrA.
 Work with networking components such as Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, or DeviceNet.
 Responsible for automation and controls system design, specifications, programming, simulation, testing, as well as start-up assistance.
 Assist in developing a functional description of the automation solution such as the control scheme, alarms, HMI, reports, and others.
 Assist in various project management / coordination tasks such as managing project schedules and budgets, developing scope of work, and providing technical leadership.
 Calibrate, troubleshoot, test, repair, and improve sensing, measurements, and actuation devices.
 Assist in defining the data structure layout and data flow model.
 Provide detailed documentation to clients on systems designs and programming.
 Perform other duties or work with other technologies as necessary.
 IT development skills like SQL, C# .Net/ .Net Core
 Proven track record of successfully leading operational technology projects from conception to implementation.
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
 Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
 Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
