The team

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with 8-9 years of experience in cloud engineering and a strong emphasis on Terraform to join the Product and Engineering practice at Hitachi Digital Services.

The role

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of AWS services and be proficient in Terraform for infrastructure automation. Familiarity with Go is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure aligns seamlessly with application requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Automation: Utilize Terraform to develop reusable and modular configurations for automating the provisioning of cloud resources.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align infrastructure management with business needs.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

Qualifications:

• Experience: 8-9 years in cloud engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience using Terraform.
• AWS Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS services and their application.
• Programming Skills: Experience in Go is preferred; a willingness to learn is required.
• Communication Skills: Strong documentation and communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $120k-$135k base+ bonus. 

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
